Sir Alex Ferguson was back in familiar territory today.

The former Manchester United manager returned to Aberdeen where he spent incredible eight years before moving to Old Trafford.

Ferguson won three league titles at Aberdeen and beat Real Madrid in the European Cup Winners’ Cup final, as well as winning the European Super Cup, so it goes without saying that he is renowned as the Scottish club’s best ever manager following his spell in the 1980s.
